Look who Connie met hiking on Frying Pan Mountain on the Blueridge Parkway recently. Her name is Sheila, and turns out, she is an emotional support skeleton! Connie and Sheila want to share with you this “spooktacular” storytelling event coming up just across the mountain in Jonesborough.

The Town of Jonesborough, Tennessee is hosting the storytelling event “Brews & Boos” on Saturday evening, October 30th, 2021 featuring nationally  known storytellers, Connie Regan-Blake, Tim Lowry, and Sheila Arnold. The event is taking place in the Storytelling Park (behind the International Storytelling Center on Main Street) from 8-10pm. Gates open at 7pm with live music from K.T. Vandyke.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased HERE or by calling the Jonesborough Visitors Center by calling 423.753.1010. A limited number of tickets will be available at the gate.

Attendees are encouraged to come early, grab a beverage before the start of the show, and enjoy live music. Main Street Café & Catering will be serving Depot Streets Octoberfest and Loose Caboose as well as a seasonal cider while concessions will also be available. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets, ground seating only.

Get ready for ghost stories, seasonal craft beer, and spooky tunes! The Town of Jonesborough, Tennessee is hosting the storytelling event “Brews & Boos” on Saturday evening, October 29th, 2022 featuring world-renowned storytellers Connie Regan-Blake and Michael Reno Harrell. The event is taking place in the in Jimmy Neil Smith Park (Storytelling Park behind the International Storytelling Center on Main Street) from 8-10pm.

Gates will open at 7 p.m. with live music from regional artist K.T. Vandyke. Main Street Café & Catering will serve local favorites Depot Street Brews and Gypsy Circus Cider while concessions will also be available. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets, due to ground seating only.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 the day of the event and can be purchased online or by calling the Jonesborough Visitors Center at 423.753.1010. A limited number of tickets will be available at the gate.

In-Person Workshop Intensive: Taking Your Story to the Stage, 3-day storytelling intensive @ Asheville, NC
Dec 2 – Dec 4 all-day

The focus of this “Taking Your Story to the Stage” 3-day workshop is on storytelling performance. Each participant is asked to come with a story that is almost “stage-ready.” Set in Connie’s home tucked in the beautiful mountains surrounding Asheville, NC, this workshop provides a supportive, affirming atmosphere to nurture storytellers’ performance skills and confidence. “Taking Your Story to the Stage” is open only to those who have previously studied with Connie. If you have not had this opportunity and/or Connie has not heard you tell a story, a private coaching session may be required.
