Workshops for individuals

Workshops: For Individuals

Stories are a doorway to understanding ourselves, our culture and our world. Connie offers storytelling workshops for individuals who want to explore their stories and identity as a storyteller. She offers scheduled workshops virtually through Zoom online and in-person annually in her hometown of Asheville, North Carolina, nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

Connie can also take her storytelling workshops ‘on the road’ to communities all across North America.

Many of Connie's workshops for individuals are nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina
Connie's workshops for individuals are a great opportunity to dive deeper into storytelling

Everyone is welcome: those curious about storytelling, those who love stories and even those who don’t see themselves as creative. Most of the workshops are designed for a wide range of expertise, providing beginners an opportunity to get a taste of storytelling as well as a space for more seasoned tellers to expand their repertoire, refresh their stories, and dive deeper into the world of story.

Connie creates a supportive, playful and challenging atmosphere as she guides participants on a journey of finding, celebrating and reclaiming their ‘true voice.’ Along the way, there is practical help for deeper listening and personal enrichment; and for some, finding and polishing stories for telling in the classroom, board room, informal gatherings and on the stage.

What participants have said:

  • Intense and Rewarding. Opportunity to take risks and grow with others who care about stories and those who tell them.
  • This workshop offers a retreat environment in which realignment occurs allowing freedom for the story to take the stage as I, the entertainer, offer it as a gift to the audience.

“The Round Robin of storytellers at Connie Regan-Blake’s “Slice of Life” show gave me a rare listening treat. Each story was as unique as the voice that told it. What great fun to hear a mountain art form so well-spun!”   –Donna Marie Todd, storyteller, singer and story workshop leader
