- Everyone is invited for bluegrass music, storytelling, and picnicking in the field beside Unicoi County Hospital in Erwin. It will be alive with music from the High School Bluegrass Band, storytelling from a flatbed trailer stage and family-friendly lawn games from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
- The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, a picnic and the whole family. Food trucks will be available. Hula hoops, jump ropes and corn hole games will be hosted by STRONG Kids, a joint program designed to help improve the lives of children in the area and beyond.
Connie is returning to her alma mater for a reunion weekend and is giving a storytelling performance “Leap and Laugh! Tales of Adventure” on Saturday, September 28 at 4 pm in Monroe Hall, Room 152 on campus. Find out more here.
Connie is delighted to be once again be on stage welcoming listeners at the 47th annual National Storytelling Festival (NSF) as an emcee. It will take place October 4-6, 2019 in Jonesborough, Tennessee. This world renowned, three-day event celebrates storytelling at its most magical. Since its beginning in 1973, Connie has attended every one of the festivals and she holds the unique honor of having performed or emceed on the festival stage each year for over four decades. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy many styles of storytelling and be in the midst of one of the most welcoming, story-listening audience in the world.
