Now in its 16th season, Storytelling Live!—the International Storytelling Center’s renowned teller-in-residence (TIR) series—features a lineup of 26 nationally-known storytellers in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Connie Regan-Blake is the featured teller from August 15-19, 2017, offering a series of performances and storytelling offerings. Tickets are $12 for adults and $11 for seniors, students, and children under 18 years of age. For tickets or more information, or to request a brochure, call (800) 952-8392 or (423) 913-1276.

Special note: Hope you can return on Friday morning or early afternoon when volunteers will be selling jewelry and other items for a cause that is near and dear to her heart, Bead for Life. This beautiful jewelry is handmade by the women the organization supports. Made from beads of rolled paper, all of Bead for Life’s items are fair trade and very reasonably priced. This will be a great opportunity to get gifts for others and yourself that have a big positive impact on the world. This organization empowers Ugandan women, teaching them the skills of entrepreneurship and craft. Connie has been long connected to this organization as a community partner. You’ll learn how to develop your storytelling skills, work with old memories, connect with listeners, and speak with real confidence. Useful in corporate settings, amongst family and friends, or on the stage, the skills you’ll learn in this workshop are geared towards writers, teachers, professionals, parents, tellers, ministers, or anyone who’s curious about storytelling.

One of America’s most celebrated storytellers and workshop leaders, Connie has been recognized with the NSN ORACLE Circle of Excellence, Distinguished Service, and Lifetime Achievement storytelling awards.

Connie is delighted to be a featured storyteller at the 46th annual National Storytelling Festival (NSF). It will take place October 5-7, 2018 in Jonesborough, Tennessee. This world renowned, three-day event celebrates storytelling at its most magical. Since its beginning in 1973, Connie has attended every one of the festivals and she holds the unique honor of having performed or emceed on the festival stage each year for over four decades.  Daily and weekend tickets are available at the NSF’s website. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy many styles of storytelling and be in the midst of one of the most welcoming, story-listening audience in the world.
